A LEADER

I hope all are safe and doing well. It's been a long time and here I'm with a new one a real incident which shows the quality of a leader.

So without getting late let's dive in......

   X is an organisation and it's in initial stages of development. Y was the chairman of the organization and he was given a task of completion of this huge PROJECT. Y took it and led the mission keeping Z as the project director. After months of hardwork of many people, on August 10,1979 the launch was started and few seconds before launching the system showed error in the project and it said to stop the project. Z and his team discussed about the error and Z took a decision to launch the project manually and he launched the project manually and it failed. All the workers and employees worked for the project are depressed. Z  was tired and depressed then Y came and took him to the press conference and Z was frightened about the blame and thought how will he face it but to his surprise Y took all the blame and criticism about the project and wasting money and he also replied that next time they will succeed. On July 18,1980 again Z launched the PROJECT and it was a huge success. With this good news he went to Y and told him about the project launch. Y appreciated him and his team and told him to give a press conference. That incident showed Z what is leadership.

Now you guess who are Y and Z . I hope you can guess but let me break the suspense X is INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANIZATION (ISRO) and Y is SATISH DHAWAN sir and Z is ABDUL KALAM sir and the PROJECT is SATELLITE LAUNCH VEHICLE-3 (SLV-3).

Once in a meeting Kalam sir was asked about leader and leadership then told this incident and he also told the quality of leader

"You take a 4 year child, a teenager, a grown-up man and a leader. If you ask them a human need the child will say ' you give me' the teenager will say ' you don't worry I'll do it' and the grown up say ' why not we work together' but the leader says ' what can I give'. That's the quality of a leader"
